What is ESPBoards?

We are a small team of hobbyists striving to share the world about ESP32 and ESP8266 microcontrollers. If you have never heard of these before, do not worry, as we will provide you with detailed descriptions, step by step guides that will surely kick-start your journey into the world of ESP microcontrollers and their development boards.

If you already have some experience with ESP dev boards, or you are an expert, we still hope you can find something useful or unheard, as your goal is to keep everyone updated with everything that is going on with the ESP32, ESP8266 and maybe even the next version of ESP microcontrollers.

As you might have already noticed from the dates on the posts, we have launched quite recently, but nevertheless hope we can provide with something useful already. As we are just a very small team, we need time to get started, but we coulnd't wait any longer and want to share our contribution with you already. If you don't find what you need or would be interested today, please make sure to check us out later, as we have bigger plans and will strive to deliver the content you and other our users need.

Roadmap

We have plans to deliver great things about the ESP microcontrollers and development boards, but to get there, we need to achieve a lot of things. To convince you with our promises, we have prepared a Roadmap with some of the things you should be looking for in ESPBoards in the near future.

As you can see from the picture above, we have a plan to make this website a great place for community to share, collaborate, learn, create and achieve some amazing with the thing you build in your next project.

1. More blog posts!

   To have everything about ESP boards in one place, we need a lot of background information and a good base, which will start from choosing the microcontroller or development board and buying them, will cover setuping, starting to develop, getting to know your board and microcontroller and will go deeper into technical things for advanced readers.

2. Comments section

   We believe that the best things are born with collaborating and sharing the knowledge between each other. Therefore, we understand that comments section will be necessary for this type of website.

3. FAQs

   A lot of people encounter the same issues and when starting with ESP boards. We will provide you with the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and answer them all in one place. If you are just starting and running into problems, most likely you will find the answer here.

4. Suggestions and requests

   We will open a new section, where you with other our users will be able to request posts about topics you would like to see. We will strive to bring as much information as possible to ESPBoards, but it is impossible to write everything, at least not at once. Therefore the community will be able to move the website's evolvment to the direction the reader actually wants.

5. Discussions board

   We think that collaboration is important everywhere, but especially when working with software and hardware. And what's better place than the one where like-minded people comes together to write their thoughts, answer the questions others might have or simply showing off what you have built.

And that is just a part of what we actually have planned for you, but we would like to keep it a secret for the moment. And don't forget, we want to make this a community driven space, so if you think the plan should be different, it might!
